Weekend Movie Reviews: Pascalina, Genghis Khan, Ang Pusang Gala, L’ Intervallo

The 3 movies I watched last Saturday (December 8), and the brochures of the two film festival (Italian Film Fest and Cinemanila). Sadly, I lost my Pascalina ticket. Bummer.

I attended all the film festivals last weekend (December 7-8), although sadly because of my financial status and schedule, I can’t possibly bear watch more than one film in each event. (Thank God to Italian Film Fest for the free entrance!)

And I must say, I have no regrets in watching these films to the point that my love for indie films grew more!

As I was browsing through my favorite website SPOT.PH – which I use to know about latest gigs, events, and other kind of stuff – I happen to discover that there’s also another film festival for this week! (Gosh! Film Festivals overload! I think I’ll be at GB for the whole weekend LOL)

Wrong dates. It will be shown December 5-11 at Market! Market! at Taguig.

Another film festival to look forward to is Cinemanila, which will run from December 5 to 11 at Market! Market! in Taguig City. This film festival will showcase foreign movies and Filipino classics. According to the website, it will also feature a lost Mario O’Hara movie as well as give tribute to the late Marilou Diaz-Abaya (Her films such as Karnal, Moral, Sa Pusod ng Dagat, and May Nagmamahal Sa ‘Yo will be shown this Cinemanila 2012), one of the country’s finest directors in the film industry.

Cinema One Originals Festival 2012

I first heard about this when my friend, Koko, shared a link on FB. And because I’m a sucker for indie films now, I decided to check the schedule out and I’m planning to watch one or two this week because I’m just working near Robinsons Galleria.

Cinema One Originals films are being screened in both Robinsons Galleria Movieworld Cinema 4 (November 29 to December 9) and Edsa Shangrila Cineplex Cinema 4 (November 29 to December 4).
